Martin F. Sturman, MD, FACP - President, Director of Medical Research and Development
Dr. Sturman brings almost 4 decades health care experience to EasyDiagnosis, including 38 years in clinical practice and medical imaging, and 2 years as a health plan medical director. He began research in expert medical systems in 1983 and with his son and Dr. Manuel Perez, founded MatheMedics in 1987. His post graduate work included appointments at The London Hospital, Rockefeller University, Temple University School of Medicine, and the University of Michigan Medical School.
Dr. Sturman practiced internal medicine and endocrinology for 8 years in New York City and 7 years in Connecticut, where he was Chief of Endocrinology at the Bridgeport Hospital and subsequently Assistant Professor of Radiology and Associate Director of the Radioisotope laboratory at the Yale University School of Medicine. From 1974-1993 he was Director of Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasonography at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. In 1993 Williams and Wilkins published his textbook, Effective Medical Imaging: A Signs and Symptoms Approach. He is the author of 25 scientific papers and holds several U.S. patents.
Dr. Sturman, who is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, is a member of The Endocrine Society and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Chicago and received his M.D. degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse.
